Our Laboratory is equipped to measure all the new parameters in Ambient Air Quality as per MoEF (New Delhi) Notification dt: 16.11.2009

Services

We offer Project Management and Consultancy (EPCC) services in the following areas

Air Environment

GCS has expertise in the field of air quality assessment, emission dispersion modeling. We specialize in resolving complex air quality issues.

Dispersion modelling

Dispersion modelling involves entering sources component and mass release rate of emissions into the modelling package along with information on exit velocities and temperatures. This is combined with meteorological data and the dimensions and location of any obstructions to dispersal such as buildings, topography and terrain. All of this information is then modelled geographically using digital maps of the relevant areas. Ground level concentrations of pollutants are then calculated which can be directly compared against regulatory limits including those at sensitive receptors such as nearby dwellings, schools or hospitals etc.

GCS uses dispersion modelling as a solution to issues including:

  • Existing plant compliance
  • Justifying preferred methods of best available techniques
  • Assessing the impact of new plant
  • Proving the impact of plant modifications
  • Response to complaint episodes
  • Uncontrolled release from vents, tanks and flanges

Solid & Hazardous Waste Management

GCS helps clients safely deliver on their business objectives for contaminated land management while protecting human health and ecology, satisfying regulatory obligations, controlling costs and managing local community expectations. Our services include decommissioning, demolition and redevelopment strategies to help capture value from discontinued operations. Our skill sets combine remediation technology, risk assessment, financial and project

Secured Landfill Facility (SLF)

We design, construct and help our client's operate & maintain SLF as required by Hazardous Waste (Management and handling) Rules 1989 framed under Environment (Protection) Act 1986.

Contaminated Site Management Services

  • Remediation Portfolio & Reserve Assessments
  • Field Investigations
  • Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessments
  • Remedial Options Appraisal
  • Remediation Design
  • Remediation & Construction Management (RCM)
  • Decommissioning, Decontamination and Demolition (DD&D) services
  • Sustainable ( “green”) remediation

Industrial and Environmental Noise

Commercial and industrial facilities generate noise which may impact the communities. GCS evaluates the range of environmental impact in ways that allow the public and regulatory agencies to make informed responsible decisions. GCS's industrial and environmental noise consulting includes:

  • Environmental noise assessments
  • Noise analysis and reporting
  • Noise measurements
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Noise modeling
  • Project design considerations
  • Mitigation analysis and design

Noise modelling

GCS use the computer based environmental modelling softwares to generate noise maps which can map the propagation of multiple noise sources (e.g. road, rail and industrial processes) simultaneously to provide an accurate representation throughout a site.

Permitting Requirements Analyses and Permitting Support

GCS supports industries in managing and improving their compliance by ensuring they have the necessary permits to operate. Our compliance and permitting services are aimed at operators of all types of processes in a wide range of industrial and waste management sectors. They range from small assessment, audit and review projects to very large compliance and permitting programmes. We also work extensively for regulators and other public sector body

Management and Monitoring of Environmental, Social and Health aspects during project construction, commissioning & operation

Environmental Impact Assessment

GCS provides Impact Assessment and Planning input to projects in the land development, road, infrastructure, chemical, pharmaceutical, metallurgical, automotive and power sectors. Our goal is always the same: assisting our clients to get their projects planned, built and operated on schedule, while meeting their own expectations for management of impacts on the local population and environmental, social and cultural resources. By helping clients bring these issues into the project planning process early we achieve environmental objectives; enable savings in capital and operating costs; and avoid significant approval and other delays. We apply state of the art assessment tools, from GIS to noise and air dispersion modeling and visualization techniques. Where appropriate, we can also integrate social and health impact assessments into the process.

  • Site and Route Selection Studies
  • Environmental, Social, Health and Economic Impact Assessments
  • Environmental, Social and Health Management and Action Plans
  • Biodiversity Monitoring and Management Plans
  • Resettlement Planning and Implementation Support

Environmental Management Plan

EMP is required by regulatory authorities, funding agencies or as part of corporate responsibility. Detailed impact prediction and analysis is carried out as per national or international guidelines (MoEF, WB, ADB, etc). The EMP, in line with national and international guidelines provides an appropriate prevention and mitigation plan to overcome the negative environmental impacts and possibly strengthen the positive ones. We also offer technical support to clients to present the reports to regulatory authorities on their behalf as part of the environmental clearance process.
